+1 to this idea. I know they said characters could icly set something up but that feels like it could be a while depending on the tech skills of the current batch.

another possibility if the mods are deliberately avoiding a network for ooc reasons is phone comms only so people have to play chinese whispers and contact everyone individually (ic inboxes?) thus reducing the use of the network for typical "posts" like repetitive newbie questions or whatever, and just making it easier for people to handwave information passing over long distances.
